    • Comparing and Contrasting relationships amongst characters/main ideas.
    • Different texts (Narrative, Informational, Subject Area, Historical Event/Current Events.)

    • Global Hub (District Main Focal Point): Students learning Communication and Collaboration for technology.
      • Compare and Contrast cultures around the world and develop a tolerance towards different cultures. (Connect through Twitter/create a "travel" video of Do's and Don't's as if a person was traveling to a different country).
      • Learn the different texts and language formats of cultures, even stories. (Go to library and pick a multicultural children's book (Ex: Lon Po Po: A Red-Riding Hood Story from China by Ed Young), then students will create their own book using a technology tool.)
    • Other Related Goal Possibilities:
      • Students being able to compare/contrast through literature and relate to other cultures (tolerance).
      • Students being able to recognize different text genres.
      • Discuss a current event (Maybe hold a class news station once a week).
